At the Moment No. 3

My cousin invited me to a Glass Animals concert while I was visiting him in New York, and I am officially a fan now. I had not heard of the band prior to the concert and arrived at the Music Hall of Williamsburg not knowing what to expect. I went from a skeptic to a convert in the span of three hours. The live energy and community atmosphere brought their psychedelic, indie style music to life. I did not know any of the lyrics to sing along to, but that did not stop me from bopping, jumping, and dancing all night long. Some of my other favorite songs of theirs include “The Other Side of Paradise,” “Poplar St,” “Youth,” “Toes,” and “Life Itself.”

MAGAZINE:: Darling Magazine

My college counselor introduced me to Darling Magazine, and I have been obsessed ever since. This is a magazine that is written by and for women. Their mission is an uplifting, encouraging, and loving reminder that there is beauty and worth in each and every one of us. Their content, which ranges from articles to photography to letters, inspires kindness, strength, and generosity. It has been the greatest honor and biggest dream come true to have some of my writing featured on their blog. Feel free to peruse here!

This was such a fascinating read that brought my inner bookworm glee and appreciation. I have always identified myself as a slow reader because I like to pause to search up a definition of an unfamiliar term, reflect on chapters that stirred up emotions, and write down notes that I want to remember. Instead of categorizing myself as a slow reader, I have begun to identify myself as a thoughtful reader. Reading is a form of self-care, teaches me how to respond in social situations, and brings joy in the simplest of ways.

STYLE:: Satin Midi Skirt

I have been on the hunt for a midi skirt for a few months now, and I am so glad I stumbled across this one. The skirt fits true to size and has an elastic waist, so you will most likely catch me indulging in chocolate cake while wearing it. The denude silvery hue I chose looks just as luxurious and glossy in person as it does in photos on the model. I plan to dress it down with a sweater and white sneakers and dressing it up with a pair of heels.

I discovered True Food Kitchen while visiting Orange County last month. With their seasonal menu, they use the freshest ingredients to creatively and nutritiously create a delicious, enriching, and memorable experience. I can attest that their herb hummus, grass-fed burger, and lasagna bolognese are appetizing just as they are nourishing. I hope there is a location near you where you can dine in and enjoy!
